The SEBEBERGER KLINIKEN GROUP (SKG) is one of the largest privately operated clinics in Schleswig-Holstein and employs over 1,500 people in the surrounding region. With over 950 beds, Segeberger Kliniken offers patients a complete range of medically holistic services, consisting of acute care, prevention, rehabilitation, and nursing.
Segeberger Kliniken also serves as an academic teaching hospital for the University of Schleswig-Holstein, Kiel campus.
Holistic (integrated) medicine
The facility, which includes numerous clinics, medical centres, hotels, and rehabilitation facilities, has evolved gradually over its 30-year history. In addition to the general clinic, which houses the surgery, gynaecology, obstetrics, internal medicine, urology, and radiology departments, Segeberger Kliniken is home to the largest cardiology centre in Northern Germany. Over 7,500 heart catheterizations and stent implantations are accomplished here each year – high-performance medicine utilizing the latest advancements in medical science.
The menu of medical services is rounded out by the centre for psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, the neurological centre, the centre for digestive disorders, and the ambulatory outpatient clinic in Norderstedt, as well as the ambulatory care services.
Prevention and rehabilitation are two further areas in which Segeberger Kliniken is particularly well equipped. Our teams, consisting of doctors, nurses, and therapists, work in an interdisciplinary manner and treat the patient from a holistic perspective. Segeberger Kliniken’s principles of care are based on the idea of bringing the greatest possible health benefits to our patients. The SEGEBERGER KLINIKEN GROUP provides first-class clinc accommodations in our associated Vitalia Clinic Hotel (Vitalia Klinikhotel). The Vitalia Seehotel, which lies directly on Great Lake Segeberg, is a four-star hotel with exquisite dining facilities and is available for day visits, weekend trips, and vacations in the idyllic Segeberg region.
